it was under the hedges the ground was still like a frozen brick a little robin saw the cracks zig zagged over the surface leaving gaps where a little fairy was in her dance would whirl and freeze as if in a trance she was called Regan to let the robins and thrushes vainly search for grains and grubs along with the scampering long tailed mouse the lady saw his whiskers a twitching sensing out a louse she had to rebirth the badgers warm and snug in their deep setts it was my sixth story on the list where the foxes scream and call in the forest deep the story was true as the pheasants shuffle in gamekeepers keep a little fairy tale tells a rattle in bleak blank twigs and branches it was the middle of the story where a fairy lady in white on her unicorn prances a little frozen brick was breathing warm air from between ruby red lips a little mouse was softening the earth making it fertile again the fairies knew where plants and bushes will start to awaken now the world of the joy of rebirth and beginnings anew once more as the time passed seasons came and seasons departed the full moons blazed in midnight skies and waned again disappearing from sight spring budded and bloomed summers were full of bounty autumns glowed with orange light
