Zófimo Consiglieri Pedroso
Zófimo Consiglieri Pedroso was a devoted author of Portuguese culture, and worked as a writer, teacher, ethnographer, historian, and folklorist of his native Portugal. His collection of Portuguese folk tales, Portuguese Folk-Tales, was published first in English, then in his native language, and is a premiere example of Portuguese folklore. He was born March 10, 1851, and died in 1910, but he left behind a rich legacy examining the culture of his country.
