Long, long ago, before you and I even existed, there were a husband and wife known as Izanagi and Izanami, who had many children. One day, Izanami gave birth to Fire, who badly hurt his mother. But before Izanagi could do anything, it was too late. The damage had already been done, and Izanami was stuck in the Underworld. Determined, Izanagi set out on his quest to bring back the one he loved; and restore her to life. When he reached the underworld, he decided to see his wife’s face for himself. But what should’ve been the wife he knew and loved turned out to be a frightful corpse. Izanagi was traumatized by the experience and ran as fast as he could out of the underworld. But before Izanami’s body caught up to him, Izanagi did the right thing and rolled a boulder in front of the entrance, once and for all. But now, the sounds of war has broken that boulder, and Izanami has returned to claim more lives than usual…
