About: The folk tales of Zimbabwe explore the lives of the Tonga tribe who live on the banks of the Zambezi river in Africa. They were collected by authors such as Andrew Lang during colonial rule when the area was known as “Rhodesia,” however, they are distinctly from Zimbabwe, a country of Southeast Africa. These tales were passed down orally for generations, and are an important part of their tradition and culture.
